National Assembly denounced international media plan against Venezuela

Caracas, Jan. 29 - RBV.info .- The Standing Committee on Science, Technology and Social Communication of the National Assembly is currently condemned orchestra a new media plan against the Venezuelan Government, designed by the owners of Radio Caracas Television (RCTV) and in complicity with its international links in the media that make up the Inter American Press Association (IAPA).

The chairman of this committee, MP Manuel Villalba said that just as an example name published in Spain and Peru can denote the manipulation and distortion of the illegal status of RCTV in Venezuela.

He said the newspaper El Pais in Spain reviewed manipulated that "the move against RCTV is because this channel is refusing to transmit the speeches of the President of the Republic."

Meanwhile, the daily El Comercio of Peru said that "a product of the intentions of the President of forcing everyone to convey their chains and doctrinaire speeches.

In that sense, he argued that the media did not say the company refuses to deliver the legal conditions to the governing body, in this case the National Telecommunications Commission (Conatel), nor allude to disrespect RCTV committed against the legal and constitutional.

"In Venezuela there is no channel closure, only the application of a rule that by law the National Executive is required to develop and implement.

He recalled that the National Telecommunications Commission (Conatel) called all the channels that run through corporate subscription television operators, both domestic and international production, operating in the country, to take legal documentation and programming , in order to determine which channels have the status of domestic production and which international production.

It ruled that those channels that were in its programming content of 70% of talent, locations, advertising and foreign production, are considered international production channels.

Internationally, a total of 114 channels and receipts submitted nationally were 24. In principle, only six channels did not, five of them were excused for the rest decembrinas, but days later surrendered.

"Only with RCTV refuses frank attitude of defiance and contempt for the rule (...) is as if a couple were going to enroll in college and when they ask the high school diploma and requires absolutely refuses to let him register without title, "said Villalba.

National RCTV

It was found that during the past four months, RCTV's programming has a content of domestic production over 90% since before the adoption of regulations or even weeks after being in force. Additionally, 100% of their advertising and propaganda is aimed at the domestic market.

"If we are truly international, why not pay their workers in dollars, yen, euros or other foreign currency. Why pretend to ignore national laws and refuse to comply. The reason is that want to destabilize and create acts of violence that sink the country into a national state of anarchy ", detailed the parliamentary Villalba.

The deputy confirmed that nobody can be above the laws of Venezuela.

"If they want to do that invited them to work under those conditions, but in America, a country that allows entry of Telesur, just as happens Chile and Peru where the government closed critical channels.

Finally, found it necessary to develop an information campaign and dissemination of technical standards and didactically explain everything that leads to the development and implementation of such regulations, so as not to fall into the game of political confrontation.
