Caracas, Jan. 28. - RBV.info .- The statements they have made international bodies like the Organization of American States (OAS) on the alleged lack of freedom of expression are part of an international campaign to discredit the institutions of Venezuela, said the Ombudswoman Gabriela Ramírez

Venezuela awoke in the program, broadcast by Venezolana de Television, the defender confirmed: "The
statements they have made international bodies like the OAS on the alleged lack of freedom of expression in Venezuela are purely political, because they are issuing a statement in advance.

"International organizations can decide once you have extinguished all internal legal instruments on the subject of television channels, which does not happen in Venezuela, and yet already delivered to the OAS 'he said.

Ramirez reiterated that cable television operators suspended 7-channel, among them Radio Caracas Television (RCTV), because these are national audiovisual producers and non-international, and why not abide by the laws of Venezuela.

These TVs are suspended, not closed, and the same should go to register as national channels in the National Telecommunications Commission (Conatel) to get back on the air.

Over 90% of the suspended carcases of nationality, thus can not call themselves as international television and comply with the Law on Responsibility in Radio and Television, as well as technical regulations.

The defender confirmed that in Venezuela there is freedom of expression itself, and the suspension of the media is due to breaking of laws.

The technical rules that defines when a channel is national or international application was developed by the Chamber of Cable Television Operators in the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ).

He said the Ombudsman sent a report to the OAS and other agencies which explains step by step for the suspension of the cable companies.

'The Government closed channels, the cable operators complained to Conatel breach of the law and suspend said television, "he added.

He added: "This is an international campaign seeking to create violence, who murdered students, that's what comes to us'.
